        A Father Like You

When I was just a little girl,
You sat me on your knee,
You taught me all the things to know
To become what I could be

With you beside me all the way
I always felt proud and strong,
That's why this horrible disease
Just seems so unfair ~ so wrong

Why the Lord chose you to bear this cross
We may never come to know,
But through our trials and our loss
Our love only continues to grow

I'll forever be grateful,
I'll forever feel blessed,
For a father like you
For having had the best

And when at last you're called home to rest
By the good Lord from above,
I know you'll be smiling down upon us,
Your heart still filled with love

...............We love you Dad............
...............As you were then............
................As you are now..............
.............As you will forever be.........
